CityGrows has two core types of workflows, transparent and private.

Transparent / Open Data

CityGrows templates are transparent by default, and anyone, including members of the public, can view details and statistics about the applications in aggregate or individually. Users do not need to have a CityGrows account to view stats and details for transparent processes.  When admins are setting up each template, they can select whether each field is included in the "Data and Stats" / Open Data components.

Private

Private processes can only be viewed by those who have been granted access to a template. Usually these would be people who are internal to your organization. Private processes are often used by Human Resources departments and for other workflows where no information about the process should be available to the public. If you want to be sure that a process is private use the open data toggle switch on your collect info field type and set to off.
